This external system, the first-of-its kind to feature continuous suction, is designed to help manage and promote early catheter removal, addressing the #1 risk factor of catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI). PrimoFit's ultra-soft wicking fabric diverts urine away from the patient's skin. Urine is then diverted through the wicking chamber and suctioned into a canister, helping keep the skin dry and addressing a risk factor of incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD). Sure-Stay Silicone Adhesive Pad and Base Adhesive keeps device in place and allows for easy application and removal.
