Parietex Composite (PCO) 8cm x 8cm Heart Shaped. Hiatal mesh makes the surgical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and hiatal hernia viable. While ordinary meshes can carry the risk of in-growth into the esophagus, Parietex Composite is coated on one side with a protective collagen-based film to help minimize tissue attachment. Its unique design provides for easy placement of the mesh for hiatal hernia repair. All of Covidien's Parietex products are created from a macroporous polyester material whose properties invite healthy tissue integration and mesh compliance while reducing encapsulation.
